This 30ft used shipping container is a standard dry freight unit sold in Wind and Watertight (WWT) condition, pre-fitted with electric heating and electric lighting before dispatch — making it immediately usable as a heated, lit storage unit or workspace without requiring additional electrical fit-out on site. WWT condition means the unit is structurally sound and weatherproof, protecting contents from wind and water ingress, but it has not been formally re-certified for international shipping and does not carry a valid CSC plate. It is designed for on-site storage and operational use.
The electric heating and lighting distinguish this unit from a standard bare-shell WWT container — and from our 30ft WWT bulk open-top unit and 30ft cargo worthy bulk unit, which are configured for bulk material handling rather than enclosed dry storage. This is a standard closed dry freight container with a full steel roof, standard cargo doors, and an interior suited to tools, equipment, inventory, and general materials storage where a functional working environment is required year-round.
At 1,720 cu ft (48.7 m³) cubic capacity, this 30ft unit sits between a standard 20ft and 40ft container — suited to sites and properties where a 20ft is insufficient but a 40ft footprint is impractical. Mains electrical connection must be arranged on site by a licensed electrician before the heating and lighting systems are operational. A lockbox can be fitted on request — confirm at time of order. For guidance on container siting and permit requirements in the USA, refer to the International Code Council building standards reference.
