Shipping containers stacked at a port container yard

30ft Containers (Non-Standard Size)

Our 30ft containers are non-standard length units — outside the standard ISO intermodal sizes of 20ft and 40ft. These units are available for on-site storage, workshop use, and custom projects. Contact us before ordering to confirm availability and arrange delivery to your location.

A non-standard length that solves a specific problem: too much for a 20ft, no room for a 40ft. Supply is intermittent, so check availability before you order.

Other options worth a look

If nothing here fits the job, these are the closest alternatives — plus the reference pages people read before ordering.

Why 30ft containers are different

20ft and 40ft are ISO intermodal sizes — they are built to those lengths in the millions because that is what fits a ship, a chassis and a crane spreader. 30ft is not an ISO size. Almost every 30ft unit on the market has been made by cutting a 40ft down and re-welding the end frame, which is why availability comes and goes and why you should confirm stock with us before placing the order.

When a 30ft is the right call

The usual reason is a plot that will not take a 40ft. Thirty feet fits along a boundary, beside a workshop, or on a yard where a 40ft would block the turning circle, while still giving you half as much floor again as a 20ft. It is also a good length for a workshop or a split store — one end fitted out, the other left open.

What we hold in this size

Cut-down one-trip units, resprayed and lockbox-fitted with a reinforced end frame; refurbished units with a roll-up side door for forklift access along the length; and used open-top bulk containers, both cargo-worthy with a valid CSC plate and wind-and-watertight for static use. Because the cut and re-weld is done to order on some units, allow extra lead time. Delivery is a flat $500 per order and every unit is inspected before dispatch.
