This 10ft refrigerated shipping container (reefer) is fitted with a Thermo King Magnum Plus refrigeration unit, providing active temperature control from -40°C to +30°C (-40°F to +86°F) — covering the full range from deep freeze through to ambient-plus temperature holding. This is the most technically complex product in our range, and the only unit requiring a specialist power supply: the Thermo King Magnum Plus operates on a 380V, 50/60Hz power supply — a three-phase industrial electrical connection. Standard US residential and light commercial power (120V or 240V single-phase) is not compatible with this unit. Buyers must confirm that a 380V three-phase supply is available at their site before ordering.
Electrical specification — confirm before you order. The electrical specification for this unit is as supplied to us, and is an industrial three-phase specification — not US-standard single-phase. Confirm voltage, outlet type and breaker rating with JK Shipping LLC before ordering. Final connection must be made on site by a licensed electrician.
The unit has been Pre-Trip Inspected (PTI) — a formal inspection procedure confirming the refrigeration unit, compressor, evaporator, condenser, and temperature control systems are fully operational before it ships. A PTI report is supplied with the unit. This is the standard used reefer quality assurance process and is distinct from a simple visual inspection — it confirms the cold chain performance of the refrigeration equipment, not just the structural condition of the container.
The interior is finished in stainless steel cladding — hygienic, easy to clean, and resistant to the condensation and moisture cycles of a refrigerated environment. The flat floor design simplifies cleaning and equipment positioning compared to the T-bar aluminum floors used in larger reefer containers, which trap debris and make cleaning more labor-intensive. At an internal volume of 12.50 m³, this is a compact cold storage unit suited to pharmaceutical, food, beverage, and floral storage applications where a 20ft reefer would be excessive in capacity. The door opening is 2,288mm × 2,251mm — wide and tall enough for standard pallet and trolley entry with a rubber-grip handle for ease of operation in cold and wet conditions. Two forklift pockets and a CSC plate certifying the unit to 10,160 kg maximum cargo weight confirm its suitability for both static cold storage and active transport operations.
