This 4m x 2.1m flat pack container store is a single-unit galvanised steel storage structure, supplied flat-packed and assembled on site without the need for cranes or forklifts — only a socket set is required for assembly. Unlike the green powder-coated units in our 8m and 6m end-linked bundles, this unit has a bare galvanised steel finish throughout — inside and out — providing corrosion resistance through the galvanising process itself without requiring a painted topcoat. It is a standalone 4m unit that can also serve as the base component for a linked configuration if additional units are purchased separately.

The slim flat-packed profile of just 300mm height — half that of the bundle units — means this unit can be transported upright in a standard van or laid flat in a pickup truck bed, and stored in minimal space when not in use. The flat-packed footprint matches the assembled base (3.88m × 2.14m), so no additional floor space is needed beyond the unit’s own footprint during storage. Components are light enough for manual handling — the heaviest single part is 153 kg — but a small team is recommended for safe and efficient assembly.

Security is provided by a double locking system included as standard at no additional cost, offering greater resistance to forced entry than a standard single padlock bar. The 15mm OSB board floor is rated to support up to 2,000 kg evenly distributed — sufficient for heavy tool chests, bagged materials, and stored equipment, provided the load is spread across the floor rather than concentrated at a single point. Once assembled, the unit is fitted with built-in lifting eyes, allowing it to be crane-lifted with cargo inside for repositioning between locations without unloading first.
