This 30ft cargo worthy open top container is sold in Cargo Worthy (CW) condition — the certified grade above our Wind & Watertight open-top unit. Cargo Worthy means the container has been formally re-inspected and confirmed fit for continued international freight service. It carries a valid CSC plate, documenting structural integrity, weatherproof performance, and compliance with international shipping standards. Expect normal service wear — surface marks, minor dents, and paint weathering consistent with prior shipping use — but the unit has passed a documented inspection confirming it meets active freight requirements, not just storage-grade weatherproofing.
Choosing between this Cargo Worthy unit and a Wind & Watertight one comes down to what you need the certification for. If the container is going into static on-site storage only, either grade will do the job. If it will be re-exported, shipped again, or your site or insurer requires a valid CSC plate for compliance reasons, this unit is the correct specification.
Like the WWT open-top unit, this container features a bulk-handling configuration on top of standard exterior hinged double cargo doors: top-opening lids and a front tipping hatch for loading loose material from above or tipping it out from the front. Each door panel is secured by two locking bars, and ventilation is available in either a 4-vent or 8-vent configuration — confirm your preference at the time of order. The floor is 28mm marine plywood on steel cross-members, with two forklift pockets per side for repositioning on site. The frame and cladding are Corten steel throughout.
