8ft and 10ft containers: when small is the point
An 8ft or 10ft container fits where nothing bigger will — a single parking bay, behind a garage, down the side of a building, inside a compound with a tight gate. They take a smaller delivery vehicle and need far less turning room than a 20ft, which is usually the deciding factor rather than the storage capacity itself.
What is in this category
Plain one-trip 8ft and 10ft boxes in a choice of RAL colours; cut-down used units at wind-and-watertight grade for straightforward site storage; 10ft high cubes at 9ft 6in where you need the headroom; a 10ft with an end roll-up door and marine plywood floor; a Thermo King refrigerated 10ft running -40°C to +30°C with a valid CSC plate; and a DNV 2.7-1 half-height open top certified to EN 12079 and ISO/CSC for offshore lifting. There are also fitted conversions here — accommodation units with insulation, stove and electrics, a bar container with a steel awning, and cladded food and drink outlets.
Siting and delivery
These still want firm, level ground: a container that sits on soft or uneven ground will twist enough to stop the doors closing cleanly. Timber sleepers or concrete pads under the four corner castings are the usual fix. Delivery is a flat $500 per order.
